Dan Thompson - President
Dan has been part of the UCR organization since 1990 when he started his career
as the UCR service department manager. In 2003 Dan was promoted to manage the UCR
spare parts business also known as sparepartswarehouse.com. In 2008 Dan began purchasing portions
of UCR to set the ground work for moving into a 100% ownership position. Dan completed
the UCR acquisition in 2010.
Dan has a technical degree in electronics engineering. He has worked in the electronics
field since 1978 and has extensive experience in computer, laptop and peripheral
repair. He also has extensive knowledge in computer and printer manufacturers’ channels
and maintaining manufacturer relationships. He has also been instrumental in the
growing of the spare parts related business which is the core of UCR’s business
successes today.
Brian K. Chamberlain - Manager
Lead Software Architect
Brian has management responsibility for all UCR’s software applications, including
web design, database design and development, search engine optimization and custom
applications. He has over 25 years experience with a successful record of managing
and developing large and small scale government and business computer solutions,
as well as developing scientific applications using various computer platforms and
software applications.
His experience includes a strong information systems capability with extensive experience
in MS SQL Server database management, design, programming, data warehousing, data
transformation and web enabling using the newest .Net environments. Brian has a
solid background in database design programming and warehousing for Windows and
Web clients. He brings experience in technical management, systems engineering,
design, developing, coding and integration testing of stand alone programs and web
sites. Brian has a Bachelors degree in both Computer Information Systems and Business
Administration.
Randy Hamilton - Manager
Service Repair Department
Randy has management responsibility for UCR’s service repair department, which includes
five authorized service technicians. He has been repairing computers, laptops and
printers for over 12 years, and maintains repair certifications with numerous manufacturers,
including HP, Lexmark, OKI, Sony, Toshiba, IBM, Compaq and others. Randy has been
with UCR since 1996. He was promoted to manage the UCR service department in January,
2004.
